"Misson in an African Way"
Now Available for Purchase
Please take note of a wonderful new book that has recently been published by Bible Media and CLF (Christian Literature Fund). Authors: Thomas Oduro, Hennie Pretorius, Stan Nussbaum and Bryan Born.

We all know the importance of contextualisation, not only for mission, but for theology in general. The message we share must be relevant to the real needs of people at the grassroots level. That is precisely where the AICs are making their mark according to this book. They are really doing mission – and theology! – in an African way. They are meeting the real needs of the African people. That is the reason why they are growing so rapidly. And that is also the reason why mainline churches can no longer afford to ignore their contribution. We have to take note of what they are doing and how they are doing it.
We believe this new book will give you an excellent introduction to the AICs and their way of doing and thinking. It will be a valuable resource for theological training and practical preparation for any kind of involvement in mission.
Prof Andrew Walls commends the book with the following accolade: "This bridge-building book explores and explains the almost continent-wide phenomenon of the AICs, helpfully integrating Bible study with description and analysis, and incorporating ideas for field study and encounter. Based on sound scholarship, but accessibly and sympathetically written and marked by theological awareness, it is a model of its kind."
